In the United States, Juneteenth is the day we celebrate news of the Emancipation Proclamation (the executive order outlawing slavery) making its way to slaves in Texas two years after it was first instated. To celebrate Juneteenth 2023 and the 50th anniversary of hip-hop, Apple Music is going all in on hip-hop with handpicked selections from a few Black artists. Enjoy this original song inspired by the Juneteenth holiday.
