MUNA is a dark pop band based in Los Angeles, CA blending the brooding sensuality of R&B, rhythms of funk, and audacity of synthpop with raw, unbridled lyricism. MUNA was founded by Katie Gavin (she/they), Josette Maskin (she/they), and Naomi McPherson (they/them). They hope their songs lend themselves both to the euphoric dancefoor and emo bedroom solitude. The trio has released three albums together. Their first album, About U, was released on February 3 .
