There’s plenty of swoosh and sparkle in We Are Leo’s brand of EDM-powered pop. Frothy melodies and high-gloss chorus hooks abound on the Wisconsin-bred quartet’s sophomore album, Fightback Soundtrack—but what really drives the music is its upbeat take on Christian faith. “Yours4Sure,” “Epic,” and the title track are typical of the sleekly throbbing beats and Spirit-filled celebratory lyrics that fill this release. Though synths predominate, “Diamonds in the Dark” boasts some rock guitar heft. Ballads like the anthemic “Phoenix” and the prayerful “Until Forever” reflect a more thoughtful side to this exuberant combo.
