Sleep Sounds collaborated in the Summer of 1990. It was a rough summer for the band members, suffering from insomnia these artists decided they needed to make a change. After their lead singer (Forest Springer) overdosed on sleep med's, they decided to break away from the hip grunge genre, and enter of the world of white noise and waterfall sounds. The groups first hit was in 1992, when they got their big break, when they made their hit "The Rustle of Leaves on a Fall Day .
