Salon Music

Salon Music is a Rock group from Japan.

In 1981,self-recorded song "hunting on Paris”,which had been played at a club in the U.K.heavily though it was from a cassette tape , ranked No.1 on the Japanese techno pop charts in SOUNDS magazine.They debuted with the single from the U.K.label Phonogram in 1982. Their 1st album "my girl friday”,which includes music from 3 tv commercials,was released on Japanese label in 1983. They opened for YoLaTengo in 2000 and Sparks in 2001. So far Salon Music have released 13 albums and have appeared on numerous compilations. .
