Mentored from youth by her mother, it was evident that songwriting was her passion, entering The Guardian’s Short Story competition at the age of 9. Aided by a voracious appetite for a story, Maisie has a mature yet innocent point of view from which her songs are crafted – with an overarching theme exploring the changing world as her generation grows. .
