El Gran Silencio is a popular Latin group from Mexico, formed on January 1, 1992.

El Gran Silencio is a rock en español band from Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico that blends a variety of rock influences with regional musical forms, particularly popular in Monterrey. Their part was central in the Avanzada Regia musical movement during the 1990s and 2000s. Current members include the Cano Hernandez brothers, Tony Hernandez, Issac "Campa" Valdez, Wiwa, and Esquivel Alvarado. Their first album (1999) was titled "Libres y locos", which means 'Free and loony' in Spanish . Popular albums include "Libres y Locos".
