Tierra Santa is a Spanish heavy metal band from La Rioja, Spain. Originally formed in 1991 under the name Privacy, the band adopted the name Tierra Santa in 1997, reflecting the medieval themes present in their lyrics. That same year, they released their debut album "Medieval" and toured as the opening act for Dio during the American band's Spanish tour.
